Thomas Charles Phillips

May 13, 1979 - Feb 7, 2026.

Thomas Charles Phillips lived life in his own unmistakable way. Born on May 13, 1979, he brought energy, creativity, and a bit of beautiful chaos into the world until his passing on February 7, 2026.

Thomas was the proud father of two children, Samantha and Tristan, who meant more to him than anything else. He loved fiercely and fully, especially when it came to his family.

Known by many as “Taillight Tommy,” he had a deep love for racing cars and the thrill of the road. Whether behind the wheel or watching from the sidelines, racing was part of who he was. He was also a gifted artist and musician, writing songs and playing guitar with passion and heart. He shared his talent as a member of several bands, including Shadow’s Edge, Bad Water, and Obsidian.

Thomas never quite followed the rules and certainly didn’t recognize many boundaries—but that was part of what made him unforgettable. He had a sharp, offbeat sense of humor and was always trying to make those around him laugh, especially the people he loved most.

He adored his animals, especially his pitbulls, and more recently his monitor, Jack, who held a special place in his heart. He shared countless memories with his dear friend Clint, a friendship that stood the test of time. He also shared a playful, ongoing tattoo “competition” with his girlfriend, Kristen, each determined to outdo the other in ink and creativity.

Thomas was a talented cook who could create an incredible meal out of almost nothing—a reflection of his resourcefulness and creativity in every part of life.

He lived boldly, loved deeply, and left behind memories that will never fade. He will be missed more than words can express.
